Mesh integration is the best fit when you still have some of your own hair and want something that stays in between appointments instead of coming off every day. Not sure which is right for you? What Is Mesh Integration?

Mesh integration uses a lightweight, breathable mesh base. Your own hair is pulled through the mesh and blended with the system, so it moves and looks like your hair. Sometimes it's a full hair system on a mesh base; other times the mesh simply supports hair extensions or a topper. We decide together at your consultation.

Who Is Mesh Integration Best For?

Women with significant thinning who still have some of their own hair, including female pattern hair loss, alopecia, and hair loss after chemotherapy.

Trichotillomania: mesh is one of the best barriers we offer. The mesh covers the areas you tend to pull, which makes pulling harder while your hair grows back underneath.

How Much Does Mesh Integration Cost?

With the hair system: $950–$1,600

Your exact price depends on how much coverage you need and the hair we use. We'll quote it at your free consultation.

Insurance: Many insurance plans cover a scalp (cranial) prosthesis. Start by calling your insurance company to ask about coverage for a cranial prosthesis, then get a prescription from your medical doctor. We'll give you a paid receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.

"Hair system" is the general term for non-surgical hair replacement. A wig covers your whole head and comes off daily. A topper covers part of the head and can clip on. Mesh integration stays in between appointments, with your own hair pulled through the mesh.
Every 4 to 8 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. At each visit we move the system up and re-secure it.
Yes, in a low ponytail, or anywhere below where the integration ends.
Not when it's done and maintained correctly. There's no shaving, and we use glue or tape only in some cases. Keeping up with your maintenance visits is what protects your own hair.
