Famous Tik Toker Shares Her Truth About Her Journey With Alopecia
Countless young women are suffering from alopecia for a myriad of reasons from hormonal imbalances to Trichotillomania. Sarah, a famous Tik Toker of "Carlos and Sarah," known for their hysterical TikTok's about her Italian husband assimilating into the American culture! Sarah is a beautiful young woman whose hair is thinned out due to hormonal changes, she faces her 3.2 million followers on a daily basis, and her hair has caused her to lose her self-confidence. Her aunt, MariaLisa of Paramount Beauty introduced me to Sarah and wanted my expert opinion as to what would restore her hair all the while keeping her own hair healthy. Sarah needed to fill in sparse areas of her hair, so I decided to use our Veila Hair Extensions which is a pull-thru technique that requires no glue, tape, or sewing. The hand-tied technique is very popular in salons, but Sarah's delicate hair would break from the stress of sewing. She has a good amount of hair at the top of her head which easily covered the hair extensions and the removal process is extremely gentle. Keratin hair extensions have a strong keratin bond that would ruin her hair when removed. The pull-thru technique, created by Noelle Salon, was the perfect option and her hair was transformed with only, 50 grams of hair which is 1 pack of hair extensions.
I performed a pull strand test to ensure she was not actively shedding, if her hair was in the shedding phase she would have to wait until it moved into the growth phase to apply for extensions. The stars aligned, her hair was healthy, new growth was visible, and we had the perfect color 6/18 (an ash gold blend of color) in stock which matched her natural hair color seamlessly. I encouraged her to continually massage her head to keep blood flowing to her scalp.
Sarah and her husband Carlo left our salon elated, it was obvious that Sarah's self-confidence was restored. Sarah was brave to tag our salon on Instagram sharing pictures of her before and after, as well as a tear-jerking testimonial. Below is Sarah's Transformation, her bravery in posting to help others with Alopecia is an amazing act of kindness. Like many others, Sarah's hair was long, thick, and beautiful, and having it thin out due to androgenic alopecia crushed her.

"In tears as I write this. If you know me personally you know how much I've struggled with hair loss over the years. If you scroll all the way to the end you'll see how thick my natural hair used to be, it was long, thick, and beautiful. I was on birth control for so long and when I got off of it I developed "androgenic alopecia which caused me to lose the majority of my hair. I know it can such a silly thing, but I lost all of my confidence, I never wanted to look in the mirror and I hated seeing pictures of myself. I'd spend hours just crying about how my hair used to be. If you struggle with hair loss, you can know how to defeat it. Thank you to @noellesalon I finally have my confidence back.
