There different types of Hair Straightening techniques and products. The type of hair straightening you choose is based on your hair, the tightness of your curl, the amount of time you want it to last and your budget.
We do strand tests on your hair to ensure that your hair straightener will work well with your hair. It is important to not mix hair straighteners that contain chemicals that work against each other. Before making your decision it is important to have a free consultation and strand test. We have 30 years of experience with hair straightening working with different textures of hair.
Hair Relaxer: Sodium Hydroxide based relaxer has been used since the 1900's. Hair Relaxers work best on very kinky/curly hair and are the most affordable. This process last 4 to 8 weeks - and varies on how rapidly the hair grows. Retouches can be performed after 3 weeks. This is an affordable process, but important to not mix with other types of hair relaxers until the relaxer is grown out of the hair. Relaxer will grow out with your hair and is considered permanent.
