Facial Feminization Surgery and Hair Loss

Many trans women have undergone FFS (Facial Feminization Surgery), and now have scarring at their front hair line, coupled with that may also be a receding hair line. As this surgery is gaining in popularity, our clients are concerned about not only covering their scars but adding more hair. Hair transplantation is not a very good option, since the surgery will not work to add hair to the scarred area.  

Our solution is to use custom-designed hair toppers that are threaded in place without shaving or gluing! This works particularly well since our clients can wear the topper and enjoy an active lifestyle. The maintenance is simple, we remove the topper on a monthly basis, wash and treat it and treat our clients' scalp and hair.

Our featured image shows a client with scarring from recent surgery, her own hair is past her shoulders, and would never feel comfortable with a wig. Instead, we custom colored and created a partial mesh and partial integration hair topper that we can pull her own hair through for extra security. Her hair color is vivid red, we custom colored the hair topper to match this exciting hair color.

The end result is a comfortable and natural solution that our client loves. We stock many of our hair toppers, aka hair systems for same-day service. These toppers also work wonders on cisgender clients experiencing hair loss.  

We do offer private areas, but our guests seem to love the comfortable salon environment, as well as the compliments given by others. Our goal is to offer a safe and accepting environment for all.

Many transitioning clients have worked with our toppers as they wait for their own hair to grow out and no longer need to wear one. Others enjoy the luxurious hair and style that the topper achieves.  

Before Facial Feminization surgery, we often consult with our clients and have the topper ready for when their wounds heal. They can also use topical scarring cream while wearing the hair topper.
