We cut through the hype and are giving you our advice for the best hair care products from shampoos/conditioners to leave in products. What you choose to use on your hair is based on your hair texture, condition, what chemicals you use and your hair needs. Most conditioners contain water soluble silicone - even hair color is packed with it! So all natural products are rare, but can recommend some!
Best Overall Shampoo & Conditioner:

TIP: . Do not be afraid to mix products; everyday shampoo or conditioner on roots and a more intense product mid shaft to ends.

TIP: . Do not overuse keratin products since overload will break your hair! . Do not use keratin products on hair extensions.
I am not a fan of Olaplex shampoo & conditioner too much hype not enough results. We do love Olaplex as a bond building additive in bleach.
High End Shampoo & Conditioner
Oribe good results & smells wonderful, but it is not for all budgets. It smells so delicious that they now have a perfume based on the scent.
Affordable Shampoo & Conditioner
Revive by Dove - my husband uses it and I will compare to most salon products! I tried it when I forgot to bring my professional products in the shower and I was amazed at how soft & supple it made my hair!
Clarifier:
Not for Daily use! . Great to use on very oily hair, possibly 1 time per week or every 5 shampoos!
Aesop Equalising Shampoo get’s my vote because it is a gentle clarifying shampoo and does not over dry hair. Great for removing oils & product build up.
Or
Go for Prell if your hair is super dirty, oily or loaded with product. Be sure to use a conditioner after use.
Repairing Shampoo
Split ends to not repair - you must cut them!
But a good Sulfate free product such as Nature Lab Tokyo for processed & color treated hair. Or Inexpensive opt for Pantene Gold Series. Sulfate free claims are questionable, Big Sexy hair recalled their shampoo for sulfate free false claims.
Leave-In Conditioners
Truss Amino - miraculous spray on product that detangles, add shine and is a heat protector with SPF.
Pureology Leave in is amazing there is a formula for blonde hair too! It is a great detangler and shine promoter.
Inexpensive Tea 12 with green tea extract only $12, try it as a leave in - equal to most professional products.
Natural/Coarse Texture
Most love Shea Butter & there are many products with Shea butter or you can add shea hair butter to your favorite conditioner, It also works well on fine natural hair.
*Inexpensive Mielle Pomegranite, amazing for drier textures.
*Upscale: Cantu Shea butter with honey --- yummy and it works
Shampoo & Conditioner for detoxification
Use once a month or less! Love Beauty and Planet with sea salt & Bergamont oil!. . This is 93% natural no silicone or buffers!
Purple Shampoo & Conditioner
Helps to brighten blonde hair & kill yellow tones! I love Inoar hard to find, but is gentle unlike Shimmering Lights.
Hair Loss Products
Revita Hair Stimulating Shampoo by DS Laboratories We are not convinced a topical product work, but a good massage helps stimulates hair follicle. BUT a good product to try with a DHT blocker and caffeine can attempt to wake up sleeping hair follicles.
