Best Hair Extensions For Fine Hair
Not all of us were blessed with the perfect amount of hair that is strong and able to support the weight of hair extensions, but we want them! Consider micro (nano) keratin bonded hair extensions if you have fine textured hair. They are offered in a variety of application methods; pre-bonded, custom-made, purged, and heated or cold fusion. We prefer to customize each micro bond to the amount of hair follicle density in our clients' hair. Hair density varies throughout the head, with the sides and crown having the lowest density. These areas benefit from lightweight hair extensions that are easily hidden. The micro-bonded keratin hair extensions are simply different in size than full-size extensions. The weight, length, and size of the bond are lighter in weight and smaller in size. A micro bond is approximately .50 grams per strand and a full-size bond is 1 gram per strand.
Keratin hair extensions are gaining in popularity, and have been around for nearly thirty years. They are applied individually to strands of hair, away from the scalp to avoid tension, and they can be worn up. Each micro bond is attached in sections based on hair density and follicle strength which assures no Traction Alopecia (hair loss due to stress on hair follicles).
Although we stock all types of hair extensions, most of our clients are a perfect fit for keratin-bonded hair extensions. The key is not to add too much weight, and to go for a more natural style. Individual strand hair extensions offer 360-degree mobility, they last up to 5 months. The micro bonds can last up to 3 months, and a simple "fill," removing and replacing, can be done in-between visits.
You should brush through the bonds to avoid tangling, dry your hair, and avoid thermal heat directly on the bonds. The bond is melted to a temperature of fewer than 200 degrees, which is half the temperature of a flat iron. They are designed to last a full term, removing them too early is not recommended. We want the bonds to subtly soften while wearing -- this makes the removal process harmless.
A hybrid technique (mixing micro and full-size bonds), is a perfect way to add length and volume to fine to medium-density hair. The sew-in beaded method of hair extensions will give lots of volume and length but is not recommended for fine hair.
Free consultations are the best way to determine if you are a candidate for extensions, and which method will work best. Keratin-bonded hair extensions work perfectly on all hair textures.
