Is Brazilian Hair Good For Hair Extensions?

Brazilian hair is highly desirable for hair extensions, but "real" Brazilian hair is hard to obtain.  There are many factories in China alleging their hair is from Brazil when it is not. The only way to know if the hair is to work with a reputable hair agent, check the shipping, and perform a side-by-side comparison to other types of hair.  The Brazilian hair will be abundant yet supple, will have a natural wave, and when held to the light there will be no visible white particles.  The white particles are the bulb of the hair (root), this means the hair was plucked from the head vs. shaved.  The practice of collecting hair is often unethical, therefore, I always look for any white hair roots.  The hair collection process in Brazil is ethical.

What Makes Brazilian Hair Good For Hair Extensions?

Brazilian hair is Remy from a virgin hair source which means the cuticle of the hair flows in one direction.  Virgin sourced hair is collected from one donor (person) and does not go through many chemical processes. Remy virgin hair is not dry and will not tangle easily.  Unlike Indian hair, Brazilian hair does not frizz, is low maintenance, offers rich colors, and does not dry out.  It will last longer than hair from other countries. Any stray short strands are combed out by hand.

What To Look Out For?

Large online vendors such as Alibaba taut that they are selling hair from Brazil, this is highly unlikely.  Most hair on Alibaba is from Asia, which is not necessarily bad.  You will pay a premium for her from Brazil, shipping will take longer, as well as production.

We find the wefts are stronger than conventional types on the market and will last over a year with proper at-home care. The texture is silky yet holds a perfect curl set.  It also works beautifully on natural hair textures.

We do not offer the Brazilian Knot application since it adds lots of tension to natural hair, we suggest the above-stated application methods.
